If money were no object
In the interest of fantasy I often look at pipes and pipe makers who's wares are well beyond my means. Carvers such as Trevor Talbert and his Halloween Pipes immediately come to mind. A carver who seems to escape attention most of the time is Canadian Stephen Downie. His pies are often fanciful or whimsical and some are just down right OUT THERE! If you enjoy looking at pipe makers works a little above the "norm" pop over to http://www.downiepipes.com/ and have a look around. Some of his works especially in the "commissions" section are marvelous works indeed.
Another favorite carver in this regard would be Love Gieger http://www.geigerpipes.com/ These "free form" craftsmen are pushing the envelope when talking about pipe design, and I find their renderings of more "traditional forms" very tempting also. Ahhhhh would that money were no object ...

Castello Fiammata is where I'd spend my money I also admire and cannot afford pipes by Kurt Balleby, Rainer Barbi and Former. I do have a few so-called "High Grades" but they were hard earned and all were estates when I acquired them.

If money were no object....
I'd buy this:

Plus lots of other pipes and tobacco, of course.

Sometimes it's just availability too. I've been looking for just the right Nanna Ivarsson for the longest time. It seems that when they come available they're gone in an instant!

I would want Nanna Iversson. Not a pipe...just her....in a studded leather thong...nothing else...
