Mystery tobaccos Empty Mystery tobaccos

Post  Casey Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:37 am

Hi everyone,

Occasionally, I find myself with mystery tobacco. Maybe I find an unlabeled baggy from a while back and can't remember what it is. Maybe a bag is gifted to me. Most of the time, they aren't to my liking, which is why they were forgotten about in the first place.

I usually try these tobaccos that don't do anything for me in a blend with something else. I have an aromatic jar of lots of different aromatic tobaccos that I've collected and haven't really enjoyed. So I stuck them all in a jar and am letting them meld together. I also have a latakia jar and a scraps jar.

Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do with tobaccos that don't float your boat?

Mystery tobaccos Empty Re: Mystery tobaccos

I call my renderings jar "Kilted1's Trash Can Punch" stemming from the US serviceman's "tradition" of a "trash can punch party" where everyone brings "whatever" and pours it all into one container (sometimes a lined trash can) to be consumed to the point of stupification. Cultured or responsible consumption of "adult beverages" is not the point of these parties Evil or Very Mad

I also have enough "blending tobaccos" on hand to generally be able to alter an English/Balkan mixture into something smokable, so they don't generally go into my trash can punch.

IF all has failed and trash can punch becomes un-smokable, it can actually be used in compost and the nicotine aids in preventing insects (with varying degrees of success ) in gardens, flower beds or flower pots.

Great topic BTW
