The online Clock

This may sound a daft question, but I was thinking about the site clock, does it show you your time where you are, or is it just telling the time in the UK (BST) I have programmed it to display the time in the members time zone, but without actually going to the "States" for example, I can't really tell. Lol

cheers

Hello Gandalff and other members,

I know, it sounds like a rhetorical question. I wondered if it were going to be an "open forum free for all" such as ASP on usernet or if it were going to be more "structured" like other forums, with topic areas and the like.

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to exactly what one is referring too when one mentions "ASP" anyway. Some think it's a "website" that they respond too using "google groups", ...

I don't know if any of you have noticed, my fault for not pointing this out earlier. But if you go into the portal, you will see the chatroom at the bottom of the page, I have placed the clock just above it to the right, (so you can keep an eye on the time lol)

Another little "gadget" I introduced is on the right hand side, just above the clock.

Where it says "Who is online" It shows who is on line obviously, but if you click on "View the whole list" it brings ...

Hi everyone,

Occasionally, I find myself with mystery tobacco. Maybe I find an unlabeled baggy from a while back and can't remember what it is. Maybe a bag is gifted to me. Most of the time, they aren't to my liking, which is why they were forgotten about in the first place.

I usually try these tobaccos that don't do anything for me in a blend with something else. I have an aromatic jar of lots of different aromatic tobaccos that I've collected and haven't really enjoyed. So I stuck ...

Hello fellow members,

You may have noticed some changes since your last visit. We are trying to build a forum where more than the average banter can be found, a site of use for Pipe and Tobacco enthusiasts to enjoy.

Gandalff and myself are trying to provide a useful resource to all members. We welcome your suggestions on how to better achieve that goal:

In the interest of fantasy I often look at pipes and pipe makers who's wares are well beyond my means. Carvers such as Trevor Talbert and his Halloween Pipes immediately come to mind. A carver who seems to escape attention most of the time is Canadian Stephen Downie. His pies are often fanciful or whimsical and some are just down right OUT THERE! If you enjoy looking at pipe makers works a little above the "norm" pop over to http://www.downiepipes.com/ and have a look around. Some ...

Ok Pipers,
I can use a little help, I just found a Dunhill in my pipe drawer and I can't even remember where I got it. If any of you guys or gals know anything about Dunhills please give me a heads up. Following is all I can read on the pipe, it's a quarter bent shell and reads as follows:

Dunhill Silver Banded Classic Series Shell Briar 3 S 554 11131 what ever in the heck all those numbers mean and Dunhill is printed in an oval.

Hey Y'all,

We are very glad y'all are here (I'm sure my esteemed colleague from the UK would say it differently ) We need some input from you. I've devoted as many hours to site building and getting the basic structure in place as my schedule allows. I'll be adding more as time permits. Gandalff and I both hope that some of you will start contributing your knowledge and experience here and help us make this the fine site it can be.

We are very aware that there are already a good ...
